The Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport has changed dramatically in recent years. This change raises questions about airport safety, wear-and-tear, long-term financial stability and how the airport impacts dozens of residential neighborhoods and hotels.
We seek stricter oversight and improved planning of the airport to ensure both residential and aviation interests are served fairly and with transparency and we now have a meeting scheduled on:
Nov. 4, 5 p.m., where we will present our concerns about the future of the airport at a Fernandina Beach City Commission workshop.
Please attend to show your concern over management of the airport so that the facility coexists safely and peacefully with residents now and into the future.
